On Sunday April 28, cyclist Daniël Abraham Gebru will give a free workshop entitled ‘The Road to Paris’ about his preparations for the Olympic Games in Paris. It is a very personal and inspiring story about hard work, clear goals, sacrifice, overcoming setbacks and persevering to ultimate success. In 2016, Daniel Abraham Gebru won gold at the Summer Paralympics in Rio de Janeiro, in 2021 in Tokyo. In 2023 he became European road champion and world time trial champion.
Now he is preparing for his third Olympic Games. In his workshop, Daniël Abraham Gebru talks about his background, his long road to excelling in sports and how he also guides young people and lets them benefit from his experiences
Daniël Abraham Gebru: “You have to do a lot for it, but you also get a lot in return. I would like to inspire other people and tell them what success means. And especially talk about the way to get there.” Gebru encourages young people to take up sports.
