No more 1.5 meter measures, but showing the corona check app is mandatory to regulate free access to catering, including at sports accommodations. Since the opening of the two beautiful padel courts at our park, more than 80 players have already registered. That's over 300 padel players! Park Startbaan welcomes you. Together with Sander Hommel, his padel doubles partner, our enter trainer Nicky Roeg has won the prestigious International Padel Experience Tournament. The tournament was played in Amsterdam last weekend. That gives the duo the right to participate in the Masters to be held in Madrid in February 2022.

It has gradually become clear how many players have extended their contracts and how many new contracts have been signed. All billiard tables have been given new sheets. In particular: the match tables 8 and 9, but also table 7 have been given the somewhat more expensive but better PreciShot on the tires. This is material that absorbs dirt and grease less and retains the ball effect for longer due to the constant launch. Carom
For reasons incomprehensible to us, the Startbaan/van der Hooplaan bus stop has been decommissioned during corona time. But in the meantime the Gondola stop of line 51 had also disappeared. Startbaan with all its facilities (schools and sports, but also more and more homes on the West side) is therefore completely devoid of public transport.
The construction of the new entrance gate has been considerably delayed due to the damage caused to the KPN cable during the ground work. Not being able to pin, no telephone coverage for a week, the consequences were major. Fortunately, everything has been repaired, a piece of new cable has been welded in between. Wifi, telephone and the Sports Café's cash register system function as usual.

The renewal project of the outdoor courts last winter has almost been completed. For the first time in the Park's history, they are now "our" courts. This video gives a nice impression of the reconstruction of the Park Startbaan - renewal of the outdoor courts, relocating practice court, construction of 2 padel courts and the reconstruction of the changing rooms with the new passage to the billiard center.
