Park Startbaan has been closed since december 15th 2020 due to the coronapandemia. How long this forced closure period will last is still uncertain, but for the time being an extension has been decided by the government until February 10, 2021. Dear tennis players and billiard players Sports at our park will not be allowed for the time being, until February 10th. It is a hard blow for everyone involved. But we have to accept this reality. The space of the two dressing rooms has now been completely “demolished”. The future walls are “drawn” on the floor with wood, after which the installer can start installing the underfloor heating after the holidays. (see picture)
All interior walls in the women's and men's locker room area will be removed. This will cause the most inconvenience during this renovation. Although the inconvenience caused by the current closure of the Sports Café due to corona is of course not too bad.
We don't tell the regular visitors of the billiard center anything new: in the summer the billiard center is often too hot. Problems arise if the outside temperature rises above 20 degrees. At even higher outside temperatures, the inside temperatures are correspondingly higher.
From 6 pm this afternoon (Tuesday 29 September) the catering industry at Park Startbaan will be closed. In the decisions of the cabinet yesterday it was indicated that from this afternoon all sports restaurants must be closed for at least the next 3 weeks. This also applies to professional catering in or on sports facilities. So unfortunately also for our catering industry.
