For reasons incomprehensible to us, the Startbaan/van der Hooplaan bus stop has been decommissioned during corona time. But in the meantime the Gondola stop of line 51 had also disappeared. Startbaan with all its facilities (schools and sports, but also more and more homes on the West side) is therefore completely devoid of public transport. Some visitors to Park Startbaan have pointed this out to us.
We have taken the initiative to urge the alderman to return this stop. The good news is that alderman Rob Ellermeijer shares our point of view and that means that the municipality of Amstelveen will bring this up in the regional consultation. This can lead to results on 1 December at the earliest. Then the new line plan is entered. To be continued!
